About Us

Kathy McCartney is the owner of MauiVision Rentals. MauiVision became a reality and a business starting with Ms. McCartney's personal condo C618. The idea to start her own business came about while working for her friends Sharene and Harrison Klein of Hawaii-Holiday. Her friends were in need of a vacation and Kathy volunteered to house sit their beautiful Big Island home and business office. The Klein's have been a guiding force in helping Kathy get started with her business.

"MauiVision is a business I love because I get to share the Aloha Spirit, the beauty of the land, and talk story with people from around the world.  It is nice to know that we can contribute to someone's Hawaiian vacation experience in a positive way.  We love to hear back from our happy guests."

Kathy used to live on the island of Oahu with her US Navy family when she was a young girl.  Her family later moved to Southern California.  She knew that one day she would return to Hawaii, the place she fell in love with long ago.  Taking a leap of faith she purchased her Maui condo June 2002 this was the beginning of fulfilling her prophecy of once again returning to Hawaii soil. 

Kathy is an artist who is inspired by the beauty of the islands.  She captures the beauty she experiences with oil paint on canvas.  "Painting the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands is another way for me to feel close to this special place I call home.  I live in Maui part of the year and painting the Hawaiian landscape and people helps me stay connected when I'm not there physically."   You can view her artwork at www.mccartneyfineart.com or visit the Haleakala Trading Company in Kihei Maui and Art on The Lane and McCartney Fine Art Studios in Danville, California where her artwork is on display and for sale.  

Kathy has a blog site mccartneytropicalexpressions.blogspot.com where you can find articles about Hawaii and art related topics. The writings are her personal observations and stories, art educational advice, travel tips, movie and book reviews that have inspired her and we hope will inspire you.

Kathy and her son Ryan live in California.  She plans to move to Maui and Kauai full-time after her son graduates from high school.

Kathy has over 20 years of business administration and customer service experience working for large corporations and high tech startups.

Linda O'Meara worked at a Fortune 500 company for 30+ years, specializing in customer training, sales and customer care. Her total focus was on the customer.

In addition, she lived in Italy for 3 years, which created a desire to travel. She has also visited Hawaii, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France, England, Canada, Mexico, and cruised the Bahamas.

Linda's husband, Jim, has shared many travel adventures with her. They married on Ka'anapali Beach in 1999 and honeymooned in Maui. They live in Littleton, CO, a suburb of Denver. They visit Maui every year to celebrate their love and reconnect to the island's beauty. They stayed at Ka'anapali Shores #851 in 2007 and felt like it was their own cozy condo with the greatest view in the world!
